Our dog was ill and we kept her inside for a while. She much didn't like to be in her dedicated room and often escaped this. Recorded with olympus ls-100 internal microphones.
A spray bottle, of the kind used to wet hair or do gardening, being sprayed. The trigger mechanism of the bottle makes a weird squeaking sound, which to my ears sounds a little like a small duck quacking.
A high pitched door hinge from a small wooden door squeak upon closing. Recorded in a small stairwell in an office complex so no big reverb/echo effect.
Squeaky wooden door opened in a hall of highschool. 1999. Casette dictaphone, built in mics, digitalized with generic amiga mono sampler at 16khz. Saved as wav.
I've recorded some rubber mats rubbing against a tabletop in my kitchen. At times it sounds like a car skidding. Recorded with zoom h2 at 96khz/24-bit. Converted to flac with audacity. Making of: https://youtu. Be/3qwqjmja4gy.
I have been hearing an animal or two beneath my bathtub for some time now. Today i discovered who it was. Leaving my apartment building this afternoon, i saw a cat sized racoon carrying her baby under the walkway. I went back inside and set up a microphone aimed at the floor by my bathtub. Methodology: shure sm58 into focusrite and recorded via ableton. Noise removed in audacity. I have a horrendous ground loop situation. In the future i may try to mic from below the apartment so that it isn't so muffled by the floor. Some noise comes from how much i had to amplify the signal to make it heard.
One of my friends had a door that sounded really nice. They were incredible and sent me a very nice small recording of the door opening and closing to upload here.
Recording of me opening and closing a whisky bottle. Recorded with zoom h1. I declare this sound effect as public domain now. No need to credit but i am curious for what you have used this effect. Enjoy.
Crystal wineglass filled a bit with water. Moving the finger around the top for making the special noice. Use a zoom h1 for recording. Recorded in 24/96khz.
